Frame for sale
I saw in one of the local papers that someone has a 2 wheel drive frame for sale and the add states that it has disc brakes on it. He's asking $100.00 for it, is that a fair price providing that it isn't bent or rusted out? It doesn't state if it's a 1/2 or 3/4 ton. The one I have under my pickup now is on the rusty side and I plan on installing a pontiac in it. This would make the installation alot easier as would rebuilding the frame.

Not being an expert, but rather an avid reader of this board and a backyard mechanic by hobby, I'd say that is a very good deal. A used disc brake kit for these trucks is probably at least that, not to mention the frame.

If its a complete frame consisting of all the front and rear suspension and rear axle its a good deal. But if it has a automatic trans. crossmember, steering gear box, swaybar and motor towers, then its a Great Deal. You didn't say whether or not if it was a short or long frame. If its a short one, then its a Slamming Deal.Good Luck...
