1956 Chevy Truck w/ pictures, just finished it.
I bought this truck out of California. It was a long bed 3200. I cut it down and started the rebuild. I'm pretty happy with it. It has a 1966 Corvette 327 motor with a 350 Transmission. I installed a Lokar shifter for an old school look. It scoots down the road nicely. It's fun to drive. The Arizona weather has finally arrived. So many chances to take out....

Impressive build there. ^^^^ Always love the big window trucks. I guess that is window envy on my part.

Re: 1956 Chevy Truck w/ pictures, just finished it.
That is just a beoootiful truck! Congratulations on driving such a peach.
How about some pictures of the front (does it have the hood ornament?), the bed wood or metal and how about some of the build? You may as we'll know it, we're nosy around here and want to see it all.c PS: It looks like you're running the stock suspension. Is that correct? It's obviously lower than stock so can you tell us if you used a dropped axle (how much?) With or without lowering springs or mono's? Lowering blocks?

That's beautiful, I'm loving the color combo. Did you shorten the original bed, or replace it?

Re: 1956 Chevy Truck w/ pictures, just finished it.
I will post more pictures of the maple bed, front of truck with emblems when I get back in town. I didn't cut the bed down. I couldn't justify the labor in bodywork vs buying new bed sides. I left the stock suspension, steering and brakes, they work great. Although someone before me pulled a couple of leaf springs out, so it's slightly lower. It actually rides pretty decent still. The motor is very strong and I rebuilt the transmission also. It has dual Flowmaster exhausts. I'm actually selling it in Nov at Mecum in Anaheim if anyone is going. I'll post some pictures of the build as well.

That is one nice looking truck. Great color combination too with the silver/gray exterior and red interior.
