Re: Original Paint Color of 216
I'm thinking gray but don't off hand know the correct name for it. I think there is a rather involved thread on it over on the Stovebolt board.
A lot of guy seem to think that the Bill Hirsch Chevrolet gray is right on the money. http://www.hirschauto.com/prodinfo.a...ion=CHV%20GREY He also has it in quarts. A bit on the expensive side though. Reading this thread will keep you busy and out of the bars for a while. http://www.stovebolt.com/ubbthreads/...&Number=652132 I think I am going with the Ford gray on my 292 as the intent for it is to look kinda like a modified original 6 to the unknowing who look at it. I don't have to worry about judges holding a color card to my block to make sure I have the right shade of gray.

Re: Original Paint Color of 216
That depends on how much attention you pay to the little details when you detail it out.
Well maybe not entirely but attention to the little details and no overspray or wrong colored parts might go a long way.
