ok please someone tell the dummy the difference in the long to short waterpumps. besides a couple inches. lol is the difference from a a/c to non a/c truck? or whats the deal? thanx rich

All trucks prior to 73 used short pumps. They are much closer fitting to the front of the engine. Short pump and long pump parts are absolutely not interchangeable. You have to use all of the pulley and brackets as a set for long or short as a group.
The options on a truck including air or power steering did not affect whether the truck had long or short. They all had short regardless. |
