Fun little Project id like some help and opinions on.
Hey Fella's
Well i flipped the k20 ...which was not what i was expecting but hey it was a 720$ truck. Anyway Im on the hunt for a Good Wholesome Project. Im wanting to Build a 1/2 ton Crew Cab short bed. I dont have a hold of one yet but im wanting some thoughts and opinions of what yall would like to see as far as a 1/2 ton crew shorty. My thoughts would be ... Hi-Pro 427/thb400 chopped 2 inches bagged Flat Black with Traditional Flames and Pinstriping Shaved Phantom Grill 20" red steelies with caps and white walls. Im Graduating here within the next 2 weeks (early) to get ahead start on my life. Heading to Laramie ,Wyoming for Wyotech in a few months. so im looking for a good project to take on.

Only thing i'm nervous on is the chopping... For the look you're after amd theme that's right up the alley. But chopping will take A lot of body work...

I like a lot of your ideas, but not sold on the top chop. I think these trucks look silly chopped, but this is just my opinion.
from experience, if you are going to go 1/2 ton, find a SWB donor and use the rear frame section. Changing everything out separately is a PITA, because nothing is the same. I would look into an LS swap over the BB, but again, that's just me.

I agree with JohnBoy on use's the rear half of the frame for the back, very easy mod.
I used the front have of a 1/2 ton Suburban drive shaft and an early '80's delta 88 shaft. fit perfect. as far as your plans I hope you reconsider the phantom grill and red wheel's. the chop would be awesome if you go very mild. good luck and post plenty of picture's !
