1979 silverado

1979 Chevy Silverado
1/2 ton shortbed

327, 350trans, weiand manifold, edelbrock carb., chrome engine parts, to name a few, valve covers, air cleaner, braided hose kit.. runs/drives good, front roll pan, rear roll pan with vette lights, shaved tails, hidden hitch, Harwood Cowl hood, grey aftermarket seats with the foldable middle 1 medium sized tear in middle seat, and a cigarette burn in passengers, all moldings have been shaved, Eagle alloy rims, custom tube grill, belltech 3/4 drop spindles/shackels/hangers, headers, 2 almost new flowmaster 40 series mufflers dumped before rear end, dual tanks, it has a plastic dash cover doesnt look bad, kenwood cd player, 4 6 1/2's, one in each door, and 2 in a box behind seats, truck is over all solid, with some minor rust on bedsides, and under drivers door which is the worst rust spot. Smaller black mirrors were put on, it has a hard tonneau bed cover, Truck was originally a 454 big block truck, but was swapped out for the 327. I always get Nice truck, or i like your truck, or that truck is bad, lots of people always turn their head to look at it while it goes by..

for the bad, the steering column is sloppy, i'm not sure if you can use both tanks or not, i have always only used the passenger side, the speedometer does not work, nor does the clock, all other guages work. the guage lights are really pathetic, i would say almost all of them are out. i would say this was once a very very nice show truck, but it now has its problems, it is basically half/half a red-orange which is Ford Performance red, and a brown primer.
All these modifications have been done before i bought the truck.
