Are you using truck exhaust manifolds?

Very cool, and way different than all the custom sandrails and audio competition cars I see come out of Puerto.

Re: 1970 c10 LSX 427 twin turbo setup
I'm not used to seeing the GV units behind the already-overdrive trannies, do you really get much use out of some of those doubled gears? (without being able to ECM/TCM control the gv unit)

Re: 1970 c10 LSX 427 twin turbo setup
Damn, after looking at your build (and watching like 2 hours of Travel Channel), makes me want to go to Puerto Rico lol.
Have you used the Mastershift unit before? I read about it and another similar system, but I've never seen it used, since most of the guys with 6spd auto's will run the GM TuTd shifters. Does it allow for "full" control, or just the GV? (getting tap-shift for all 8 speeds would be epic)

Re: 1970 c10 LSX 427 twin turbo setup
Looks like you kept the coil packs on the valve covers... Did you just custom make some plug wires andgo around the manifolds?

Re: 1970 c10 LSX 427 twin turbo setup
Naw ya don't. Just the heads....and if you REALLY wanted to I may know someone that has a very nice friend at MAST that can track down their 6bolt heads. I feel you don't need a new block till you blow on a hole in the one you got....and with an gmpp LSX block, you'll blow a hole in the block sooner than you'd like heheh.

Re: 1970 c10 LSX 427 twin turbo setup

Unless you're talking about a Bill Mitchell or a Warhawk block...in which case I'd still rather have the LSx for less than half the price
