hedman swap headers
Anyone use the hedman 45660 swap headers? I just ordered a set today, hoping they fit and work pretty well. Once I know they work good and such I plan to have my local powdercoater ceramic coat them. He is much cheaper then the difference they want to buy them already coated, so saves a little money too..

Re: hedman swap headers
will do, hopefully they get here before the weekend, if so then I plan to get them installed and get to the muffler shop to have the exhaust hooked back up.

Re: hedman swap headers
They look good. Do they hang below the frame at all? I think these are what I'm going to go with also.

Re: hedman swap headers
No they are above the frame. It's kind of a tight bend after the collector to keep it that way but the muffler shop did a great job keeping it tucked. Anyone looking for swap headers I highly suggest these!

Re: hedman swap headers
Very nice fit on that "square body" For the 67-72 crowd, my bet is that they will not fit with stock mounts/stands....swap to the 73-up mounts/stands, & I will bet that you are good to go? Longhorn

Re: hedman swap headers
They look good, and I'm wondering how the fit flipped (turbo style).

Re: hedman swap headers

Re: hedman swap headers
I doubt they will fit with a z. I'll try and get a few pics tomorrow if isn't raining.

Re: hedman swap headers
Summit has them @ $350
Here's a link to the Hedman site with a bunch of different options it seems. Mid length, long tube, primaries in 1-3/4, 1-7/8, stepped 1-3/4 to 1-7/8 stepped 1-7/8 to 2 and 2". Uncoated, black & silver. All listed as "Chevrolet C10 Pickup 1967 to 1974 Liter: 4.8, 5.3, 6.0" Notes for my vehicle for instance are: Quote:

Re: hedman swap headers
I'm running them on mine. Square body though. Only issue, I had to slightly clearance the frame on the drivers side. One primary tube was touching the frame, with a minutes work of the grinder, it was taken care of.
