305E V6 to V8 Swap
I am having problem after problem with my 305E V6 and am thinking of swapping it out for a 327 or 350. Can anyone help me out with any issues that I may run into? I have another bell housing for the tranny, but what about radiator size, motor mount location, etc?
Thank you for your help! |

Not sure how much this will help if yours is a 63-66, but here is a thread showing how I went fiom a 305 to a 350 in my 1960 GMC.

Re: 305E V6 to V8 Swap
JT,
It's in a 65 GMC 1/2 ton p/u, 2wd with a 4 speed. I miss-spoke earlier, the other trans and bell housing is out of an I6, not 350. I am not sure what you mean by a juice clutch. The current clutch is mechanical, no fluid needed. Mark, Thank you for the thread post too. Thanks. |
