1960-62 GMC Automatic Transmission Crossmember (not mine)
Hello Everyone,
I found this on Ebay, it's really pricey so does anybody have the time to make some specs using this as a reference to build one? I don't really have much fabricating skills but I can follow directions! Just throwing this out there in case anybody needs one of these. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1960-61-61-C...e32d3&vxp=mtr# |

Re: 1960-62 GMC Automatic Transmission Crossmember (not mine)
Welcome to the forum!
Thanks for pointing this item out. They are indeed very rare. I found one over 20 years ago after looking through hundreds of junked trucks. (They were rare even then). Mine must have been from a long bed as it needed to be sectioned to narrow the width. If I had to get another one I'd probably go with steel angle sides, and square tubing across the center. OEM might be convenient, but I'd have to rely on hot rod ingenuity rather than spend $250 for a crossmember on anything but a pure stock restoration.

Thanks for the welcome, first post long time lurker lol, starting work on my 62 and came to find how difficult these are to come by. If I attempt to build something I'll definitely be posting it for others.
