70 C10 Drop/Brake Kit for 20" Tahoe LTZ Wheels
I've searched this forum high and low with many different approaches to fitting newer model Tahoe wheels on 67 - 72 C10s. The majority of people using these wheels are using spacers which I would like to avoid since my truck is currently sitting on the original suspension and I have an extra set of these wheels ready to go.
I'm going to order a drop kit/ disc brake conversion in the next week. Does anyone know of a drop/disc brake kit that would allow me to use these wheels without spacers? Wheels: |

Not without doing some machine work to the center bore of the newer wheels.
Plus the offset it wrong for these old trucks. The rear wheels are going to look sucked in too far.

I guess I may be better off selling these wheels and getting wheels that work for this application. |

only option i can think of to use those wheels(and it prob wont be cheap) is to switch out the rearend with a wider version
This would let you user those wheels... would prob have to go to Currie or Moser etc to build you that custom width rear with axles etc... |

Re: 70 C10 Drop/Brake Kit for 20" Tahoe LTZ Wheels
88-98 medium duty (6-lug) 1/2 ton trucks have a wider rear housing (1.5" wider than 73-87's & 3" wider than pre 70's) that could prob be made to work w/some new saddles to locate the suspension.
Up front some custom or extended a-arms could be used. I'd personally sell the wheels for an alternative.
