81-87 stepside rear fender well moulding
looking for a set of rear fender well mouldings for an 87 chevy stepside. i have a set of nos fronts. tried to find answers on a couple posts here with no clear answer. i see pictures of them all the time with trim installed. yes i know they make them for the 79 and older stepside beds. anyone have a clear answer or can lead me in the right direction? i know they never came from factory this way. i want to match the front and rear and the rear looks lost without them. pictures/part numbers will help me. thank you.

Re: 81-87 stepside rear fender well moulding
Tried finding a set myself long before I had a stepside. Right now I've taken to modifying some rear trim to fit.

Re: 81-87 stepside rear fender well moulding
I bought a set from classicparts for the rear fenders on my 86 stepside, could not find a good original set. Im quite happy with them, they are a bit thinner than the originals if I compare to the front ones. But they do the job.

I think they were for stepside, it's been a while since I put them on, so I can't remember of hand.
I Will check the parts Numbers when I get home

Re: 81-87 stepside rear fender well moulding
I had a look in the garage, could not find the folder with papers from when I restored the truck. Itīs in there somwhere (still a bit messy since I moved) Im pretty sure itīs kit nr: 62-680K from Classic Parts.
I had to massage the corners a bit to get them to fit on the back fenders, but nothing complicated. Just rolled them gently on the inside curve with a piece of 3" pipe when I put them on (donīt know if you get what I mean?) The screws that came with the kit were crap, I swaped them out for selftapping ones with same flat type head (found in the local hardware store) The kit screws are so soft that if you slip once with the screwdriver the grove is gone.

Re: 81-87 stepside rear fender well moulding
Thanks, good luck with your truck!
I just started to pull the engine out of mine, the original 305 gave in and then it sat for a year. Now I have the inspiration back to do something with it, not sure if Im going all out on an LS swap or if Im going to get a 383 for it.
