Few Questions Locksmith and Sandpaper
1st. What kind of Sandpaper do I need to use on my blaster to remove dimples of where rust was ?
2nd I've lost my keys to my '59 and is there a number somewhere on these GM Cylinder Locks ? 3rd. Was the Glove box key keyed differently? I am guessing so since the key I lost did'nt fit it Before I get chewed, I looked on here for these but I want up to date answers

A locksmith can key your doors ,glovebox and switch to one key but they may have had different keys originally .

Brothers sells a matched set that may be cheaper than a locksmith. Also allows you to put a lock on both doors.

I put the New Voltage regulator on today, I need to know what a Deluxe Cab Wiper motor looks like, or do they run off of Vacuum

#2 is pretty simple if you can take the ignition switch to a locksmith (not a kiosk that just cuts keys) #3 will be a different blank. The square key worked for the ignition while the round head blank did the glove compartment, door locks, and truck lid on cars.

the key went to the ignition and door locks on my Truck

Do you know if either lock had been rekeyed?
I had a LOT of new trucks starting with a '62 and the round blank fit the door while the square was for the ignition. I don't know how often Chevrolet did this but the same blank shape, round or square, would have the grooves on the other side. I'm sure they had some reason for that but it never came to me.

Prices for lock shops to code a key can vary a ton. The shop I go to in Sunnyside Wa charges me around 10 bucks if I take the lock in but the shop 25 miles the other way from my house wants 45 for the same exact service. That is why Speedbumpauto suggested buying the set from Brothers. That may be a better deal than going to a lock shop. Since you will have to pull the cylinders out anyhow I'd pull at least one of them out and check the prices at local lock shops and go from there. I can't get the Brother's website to take me to the lock cylinders so that is no help on price.

Im related to a locksmith well distantly Lol..I am hoping to get another key in it so i can drive it to my neighbors and Start sandblasting some areas

I know but the E-Brake isn't good and its not locking in place and i'd be scared to do it without a key

As far as the sanding after sandblasting I wouldn't worry a lot about getting all of the pits ground down to bare smooth metal as long as you have a good clean surface to start laying primer on. A few coats of primer, time with the sanding block more primer and you have a smooth surface to lay the topcoats on.
