Measurements needed please!
Does any one have the measurements of the location of their transmission cross member? I need the distance from the original rivet holes of the old (3spd) to the mounting location of the new (TH350) the PO just had the old cross member just laying on the frame and I want to get it bolted down prior to installing the tranny.
Thanks |

There are too many variables involved to go with what someone else has done. I agree with Kieth. Just bolt the trans up to the engine and sit the crossmember you are going to use under the trans. At this point you will want to check the angle of your output shaft to be sure it is parallel to the pinion. Then you can mark your holes, and if need be jack up the rear of the trans and move the crossmember to drill the holes.

Re: Measurements needed please!
Awesome, great pointers and thank you very much. I am trying to get as much prep work done as possible gearing up for my engine/transmission install at the end of the month.
Thank you. |
