Why am i finding it so hard to track down a 75 grille for a blazer.

LMC catalog. 73-74 yes, 76 - 81 yes. 75 ???? Not so much.
Previously i got a 74 grille by mistake only to find that it doesn't fit a 75.
any ideas?

There was an upright brace in the middle of the grille in front of the radiator in my truck. The current grill fits as it has long brackets attached but the replacement didn't have deep enough brackets to be bolted in over the brace. when you look at the LMC catalog, they say that later grilles can be used for a 75, but there is no mention of 73 - 74 being interchangeable

I would spend some time and see if I could find that center piece(s) unique to 73-74 so I could run the 73-74 grill.

Reach out to: dragonball98312

I bought some stuff off him, and he might have a grill for you.

EDIT: and he's a good dude! :-)

Otherwise, just troll CL. They come up, for sure.
Also I use "statewidelist.com" to search CL for the whole state

Hey thanks man. Appreciate the referral. I have a set of outter and inner mounting brackets for the 73-74 trucks. I was gonna sell them to swiss army but he didnt need them as he has a 73 already. I also have a few 73 grills for sale along with 350 and 454 emblem. Pm if interested

That's a good suggestion Bruiser. the 74 grille is my preferred look. I need to check out the 73/74 front to see what the difference is behind the grille. it MAY be because mine is a AC truck and the condenser pipes are in there. That being the case I could remove it as I'm not running AC an don't need it.
