Rear end for a 71' C-10
Can anyone recommend a good 5 on 5 rear end for my 71' C-10 short bed? Preferably a pos-disc rear end. I've heard some of the late 90's 1/2 tons work but I don't know their width. Mine is 63 1/2 hub to hub and I want to stick with the 5 on 5 to match the front. Help, help.

Re: Rear end for a 71' C-10
I was just researching this as well, but the other way. I wanted to find the width of the 67-70 rear ends since I know the 71-87 are all 63". I believe that the later model rears are 65". It would be easier to just to a disc brake conversion on yours.

If looking for a factory rear that has disc and the 5x5, I would check out the Impala SS rear ends. I am not for certain on the axle width though.
