1966 Vent Windows DIY question
Going through my 66 and a previous owner had not put stickers, or wrote, but etched things into the vent windows.. I obviously want to replace the glass, but the rubbers are garbage, as per usual. I was wondering if anyone had rebuilt/ pieced together vent window assemblies. New assemblies from classic parts and lmc run about $250 a piece. Can you get the all the components, to include the glass, separately and do assembly on your own to save cash?

Re: 1966 Vent Windows DIY question
I haven't gotten that far on my build but there are several guys on this forum who have. Here's a good write up on rebuilding them. I'm pretty sure you can get replacement glass and rubber but someone who's done this would be better at recommending the best quality vs cost.

Re: 1966 Vent Windows DIY question
I bought a pair here on the board and rebuilt them for the new set of doors I have for the 66. All I needed was the gaskets and the hinge pin. Order a few extra hinge pins so you have one to practice on getting it swaged over.
