Custom Auto Sound radio????

Is anyone running a Custom Auto Sound radio. I want to keep the original look in my 77, and this seems to be about the best solution. I'm curious about the quality if their product too...

Try the 67-72 side of the board. There seems to be a cult of "non dash hackers" over there who believe it is a sin to cut the dash. Someone over there has to have one.

From what I have read in magazines, they are quality radios and work and sound very well. I might be going the same route (unless I build a console), so if you hear anything I would love to hear about it as well.

Thanks...Jeff

Thanks Jeff, I'll post over there and see what happens. I like the idea of a stock looking radio that has CD changer controls built in. Electronic tuning would be a MAJOR plus over what I have now.

kevhill85, So school me a little here buddy. What is a avx-7000-cd ?

Sounds cool! Somehow I don't see that fitting the stock opening though...

From what I understand most or all of their shaft raidos are customized Kenwoods. They also have a "secret audio" setup that you can hide in the truck and just use the factory as a "dummy" setup.

In fact.... This is on the description of one of the radios.

This model is a 'clone' of the Kenwood KRC-3006 radio discontinued by Kenwood.

Custom Audio

I have the custom audio setup with the 10 disc changer and have 2 JBL amps one for my blaupunkt components in Q forms up front and 4x10 in stock position rear and will be installing an 8 or 10 inch sub very soon. These systems are in fact made by Kenwood, been running mine for over a year without any trouble at all.
