Original wheel/ late model column
Need some technical expertise. I have a mid 60s pickup wheel that I want to put on an 85 truck column. I know the splines match. Anyone know what it takes to get the horn to work?
Thx. |

Re: Original wheel/ late model column
One of the adapter kits might do the trick. Here's the Ididit example, I know there are others:

Re: Original wheel/ late model column
I'm hoping you get some answers here, because I want to do the same thing. Just swapped in a tilt column from a motor home, and want the old steering wheel on there instead of the newer one. I plan to eventually rework it and make it a shallower dish and smaller diameter, but that will have to wait for a while.

Re: Original wheel/ late model column
So.... The splines are right but the horn button is on the wrong side of the wheel. Grrrr..... Highly disappointing. Anyone want to buy a really good condition 60 wheel?
