reproduction door panels, Any Good?

Has anyone had good luck with replacement door panels, the quality and how they fit? my 82 door panels are both power locks and windows,they are ok but the tops are scratched up fairly bad and i want to replace, but if restoring them is the better way i could do that also. any info would be great on other interior replacement parts also. Ive been looking at LMC,Brothers, and other places and dont know what to do. thanks.

I'm in the same boat and will probably just clean and respray with SEM to match the other pieces in the interior. From my research if cleaned and prepped with adhesion promoter the stuff is very durable.

They're ok.

I used the LMC versions. I was a little disappointed when I pulled them from the box because they appeared to be a cheap blowmolded version (originals are injection molded).

But - I added the original trim and door pull bezels which I thought trimmed them out nicely and gave them some detail. The window crank and arm rest complete the look.

Same opinion as Keith, pulling them out of the box I though to myself "Toys R Us"

are they all going to be cheap, does one vendor or company have a better quality over others? i mean do they look cheap,feel cheap, not fit correctly, or would anyone be able to tell but me once installed?

There was a set of aftermarket door panels in my truck from the PO and they are cheep and flimsy. I am planning on trowing them in the trash. I have an original set that I am going to change the color on and reuse. They are not the correct style for my 86 but at least the are the higher grade factory panels.

It seems pretty much all of the vendors are using the same China’s finest repop door panels. I just did a set of ’77-’80 panel on my '78 K10 and did a few things to make them feel more solid and to quieten them down. They are horribly cheap blow molded injected in hard plastic. I doubt I’ll keep them long term but they work for now. I should have just refreshed my OEM door panels. Here’s the story

I bought the coverlay brand of door panels from Classic Parts in Huntington Beach. My original door panels were literally crumbling apart from years in the California sun. They say on the instructions that you can't expect the color to match, and that is true. I was happy with the quality of the door panels. The current price is $175...that's not too bad, is it?

I dont mean to threadjack but are the repop dash pads just as flimsy as the door panels?

My LMC door panels were cheap and flimsy. Use OEM if you can. And the dash pads are also junk: mine fit horribly and had a nice "dip" over the gauge cluster. I found an OEM one and dyed it.

Exactly what mine look like but mine are RED... ( suppose to be burgundy ) close though
