UBER RARE 1960-61 Chevy Apache V8 engine mounts

Many of you have never seen a set of these, and many of you never knew they even existed, but for the small handful of you who know what they are you also know how crazy rare they are. Like all things not reproduced but highly sought after, these cannot be found anywhere for a "good deal". These are one of those items that are expensive no matter who has them for sale or where you see them posted. So, with that said, this set is for sale for 250.00

If you are thinking you want to build a factory V8 type 60-61 Apache then these are the correct ones you need - you can modify your frame to accept cheaper mounts that are not original if you are going with a 350 V8, or hot rodding - these mounts are for the "purist" going all original and correct.

Shipping is 25.00 anywhere in the continental U.S. - these are larger than they look and made of cast iron and steel so they are also much heavier than you think too - so yeah, it will take 25.00 at a minimum to get them to you....

Those are cool pieces. I have a set on my 1962 BBW Custom cab, factory 283 with a powerglide. I've owned several 60-66 trucks and carryalls and have never seen any of these until I bought my 62.

Glad you said that Ron - I was wondering if this might be the case - I have owned 4 sets of these and every one was on a factory automatic 60-61 truck; the only factory V8 equipped manual transmission trucks I have seen all had the horse-shoe shaped engine mount - so I wondered what the deal was with that and now I understand. I think the radiators and steel fan shrouds are different between the two as well - automatics got a shroud that screws to tabs that are spot welded to the sides of the radiator, and manual trans equipped trucks got the three-ribbed barrel style shroud that bolts to the core support - not to the radiator itself.

The AT radiator was physically bigger than the manual trans radiator; it's a little wider, and a little taller. Same as the 1-ton truck radiators.

It bolts to the regular 1/2-ton core support. I found all this out when I bought a reproduction 1-ton radiator for my '61 Suburban.
