Side Moldings/Ally Trim - Best Quality in your experience?

This is a subject that regularly comes up, judging by the subjects that came up on my search here.

I seem to recall a thread where someone had actually bought trim from one supplier and found it dented when he pushed it onto the clips.

I was looking at the LMC/Brothers/Ecklers sites last night, and prices start at $350 for a full set for a Short Fleetside plus the extra $20 because it is a long item, from LMC and upwards.

Keeping in mind, I am in England, the price more than doubles once I get to fit them to my truck, it is important that I buy right the first time.

I will be happy with polished Aluminium or Stainless Steel on mine, but the quality or thickness of the materials have to be good first time around.

So any pointers to where I can get the best quality, and possibly even a decent price based on experience, will be greatly appreciated.

This is the state of my trim currently, which is why I am looking at spending such a lot of money on one small part of my truck.

And NO, I am not going to try to restore or repair the trim

Knowing where you are and knowing (first hand) the quality of parts from Mar-K, that is the only place I would buy them from.

Do you have a link for their website please, as I did try Googling for them and got no result.
Am I right in thinking they supply US manufactured parts as well?

Thanks Perro13.

I tried to call them to get total shipped costs etc, but only got answer service, then sent an email, but have also asked Ta2Don to see if he can connect with them to get the info.

I do love iPhone Facetime.

Second (or third) the Mar K recommendation. I was talking to a guy at an auto that also dented his trim just trying to push it on. I've had my Mar K trim on and off several times for various reasons. No dents........

Grizz,

I have ordered from them a few times.

Go ahead and order what you need, give them a good contact point and time frame to contact, they will call you because they cant quote shipping until they talk to you. NIce folks and usually call the same day or next in most cases.

Good luck!
