235?

I picked up what I hope is a 1962 235. The engine serial is F1210JC the head casting number is 3836848. I could not locate the block casting number.
Is this a 235? If it is I plan to replace the 216 in a 1951 3100 I just acquired. Thanks for your help!

Re: 235?

The suffix from your block stamp F1210JC indicates "JC" as 235 . Would need the Casting date to determine year of engine.

Re: 235?

I found the casting number, 3769716. It was located between the distributor and the fuel pump down low on the passenger side. Duh! According to adchevy.com it is a 62 235. I am happy! Thanks for the help!
