Gas Tank Bracket Removal?

Ok Guys, I'm getting ready to remove the tank brackets from behind the seat. I have ordered a spot weld cutter and got everything out of the way. Got any tips for NOT cutting through the back of the cab? My truck is super nice (I am stupid for cutting it.....I know) and I really don't want to screw this up. I read about placing a wooded wedge between the cab and the bracket and going really slow. Any help would be great appreciated.

Re: Gas Tank Bracket Removal?

It's really thin in places. Honestly I'd cut it close but leave nubs rather than try and remove it all. I put about four small holes in my cab removing mine.
