Re: my 63
Oh .. I thought it was a 63 .
It was at my house when I bought the place . No motor , trans ..right front suspension ripped off.. hit something solid. killed the Chevy grill and right fender as well. There was a 67 in the back yard that ran, but it had a smoked clutch. I kinda sacrificed the 67... She gave up her heart and soul..trans and front end ;-) I then bought and drove another oil burning long box stepside till the carb fell off it. stripped it for parts .. bumper , grill ...doors etc ;-) I may need to learn how to tell the years apart I guess lol |

Re: my 63
I'm sure it was actually a chevy..judging by the cab..its a 64-66 chevy cab and hood 62-66 chevy...I think the grill was just put on cause the orig one was toast. Nice truck anyhow, What you thinking about for a drive train?

It has a Chevrolet tailgate ;-) Honestly Drive train , 1970 350 4bbl 4 speed on the floor and the same rear end out of the 70... Pics of that power plant and the driveline truck. This was my first. In grade 10 I got this truck from Dad , all I had to do was fix it. 20$ set of used heads did the job. I drove this truck for years with a dream to rebuild it. one day Dad needed a truck and I gave her back to him. I never drove her more than 50' after that. she was done...nothing left to rebuild. it sat in my back yard over 10 years , I hooked a pop bottle of gas to the fuel pump..she fired rite up and even idled for me 2 weeks ago. She is gone now..off to the scrap yard. minus the driveline , front drums and ign switch. Last edited by Shakerattlenroll; 07-08-2014 at 09:41 PM. |
