I just bought the 12" drop spindle disc brake kit from cpp and installed it on my truck 68 c-10. I then got 73-88 4x4 steel wheels to accommodate for the disc brakes, but these wheels are rubbing the caliper. I would just like to know what other people do to either keep the steel wheel look or what 6 lug aluminum wheels people have used?? I open to anything, thanks in advance!!

Re: Help!!!!
Do you have a link to the kit you bought?
You might need a spacer or a little clearancing on the caliper. |

Re: Help!!!!
Which wheels?
5 or 6 lug? How close are they? You might need an 1/8 inch spacer. |

Re: Help!!!!
It's been 10 years or so, but when I added a disc brake kit to my truck, I had to get longer studs and spacers.

Re: Help!!!!
How much contact is being made? Is it something where you could grind a little off the caliper to clear?

Re: Help!!!!
Most of your problem is centered on the fact that those aren't disc brake wheels.

I think the issue is just the particular combo of parts. Any way you could test fit a wheel on a buddys truck to see if there's an issue on an OE set-up? Or maybe try bolting on a 4x4 truck rally & see if you have the same clearance issue?
