Two build sheets in my truck, neither match

Checking out behind my seat I see two build sheets. The seat is already torn up, so I decided to see what these were all about.

It appears that neither are from this truck originally, but for all I know it could.

Click for the full size. I left them huge so everything can be easily read (well, as easily as can be for the condition)

This build sheet looks like it's from a local truck. I can make out "CE GARAGE" and "ROCK OREGON" which plugging in to google gives me an obituary from a guy in Pendleton who worked at a Maurice Garage. And Pilot Rock is just south of Pendleton a bit, so it makes sense.


The truck this belongs to seems to have headed up to Poulsbo Washington. The address is a bit more legible, Lucky's something Garage in Poulsbo


I love the history these sheets tell.

Are the VINs/job sequence numbers close together on those two? Or totally random?

The job sequences are one right after the other: 17123 and 17124

Is there a VIN on these? That number is 1 digit too short to match the sequence number on my VIN.

One of these pickups came with a 327. I love that engine. My '67 Camaro had one.

Also had bucket seats! Funny that this came out of a bench. Based on the other's green vinyl option I'm guessing that build sheet belongs to the seat.

Yes - I think the VIN is in the upper right corner.

Sounds like somebody got behind and just started jamming build sheets into the seat that was currently in front of them.

Ah, yeah, looking now I can see "Vehicle Identification Number" printed on the top. Looks like one of the springs went through the second number enough to make it illegible. I'll try and clean it up when I get home from work tonight.

If the second number is a 1, looks to be within 11K (just barely) of my pickup.

Speaking of history, I read your the post linked in your signature about the Pontiacs. Very cool history you have with these. I wish I was sentimental when I got my first pickup. I owned a beautiful survivor SWB Bonanza from 1978. But, being young, stupid, and interested in going fast, I traded it for a smaller turbo car.
