Fast N Loud did a '65
Just in case you didn't know, Gas Monkey Garage did a 65 c10 with porter built parts for a Pikes Peak pace vehicle. It was on Discovery's Fast N Loud tonight. Titled "Pikes Peak or Bust, Part I"

They've got some serious side trim on that rig.

Re: Fast N Loud did a '65
Enough trim and emblems to almost do 3 trucks. Nice job on the build though!!

If you have ever seen one of their builds - most are half-assed jobs that look okay on TV but are far from a professional finished build - especially for what sleazy Richard wants for them. Guys remember this is a TV show....its made for entertainment and ratings not honest quality builds. And Richard is a humble Texas huckster worth over $15M, whose only real talent is selling "Richard"

Re: Fast N Loud did a '65
That truck does nothing for me at all. The wheels don't match the style, body color, and patina, and what where they thinking with all of the side trim? That's hideous. It makes no sense.
I'm usually OK with a lot of the stuff they build, but this one gets a NO vote from me.

I like the truck myself. A little over the top in some aspects but it looks to serve its purpose and is prob. bad a$$.

Re: Fast N Loud did a '65
I like the truck. They will show this rest of the build next week. I was hoping they would take off all the extra trim. It had all of that when they bought it. Sure does look like a fun one to drive!

Glad to see more of the car building shows building 64-66 trucks. Wish I would have found that SW BBG for $2500. Cheap anymore.

Re: Fast N Loud did a '65
Here are a few before screen shot pics. Looks like a well optioned truck with big back window, duel spot lights, Coronado west coast mirrors, grille guard etc.
Looks like all the extra side trim was already there before they bought it, bit too much trim in my opinion. |
