Factory Dual Electric Fan Operation Question
Most cars & trucks these days have electric fans, with some or most being dual fan setups. They typically come on at 180-190 degrees. On a dual fan setup from the factory (GM) does one fan come on or do both fans come on at the same time? On this 94
GranPrix I am using, just one fan comes on at 190 degrees and the other one never comes on. Temperature never goes beyond 195 degrees. Do I have a bad fan?

Usually with factory dual fan setups, it will come on in stages if the temps keep going. Some only come on if the AC is on.
If it never comes on no matter what, it may be bad or it could be unhooked or something. Maybe even a switch for it is bad.

Yeah I say check the A/C thing - alot of the newer cars have the second fan for A/C.
