Good lowered rear coils.
Who sells the best rear 4 inch lowered coils, and lowered shocks? I have a 64 fleet side. I was thinking about Brothers Truck. Brothers has the coils on sale now for $88.00. The shocks are $39.99 I think each. Some times I think that items on sale might be cheaper merchandise.

I've noticed several guys lately waiting until all suspension/body work is done and taking measurements before ordering compatible and best-fitting shocks. Remember that shocks do nothing toward raising or lowering the height. sam |

Re: Good lowered rear coils.
The first time I ever bought springs was from Early Classic Enterprises. I put them in and the back was too low. I bought 5 inch drops and suddenly realized I wish I had purchased 4 inchers. They exhanged them no problem even though I had installed them. I paid postage of course because the error was mine, but how great is that? I still call them first.

Re: Good lowered rear coils.
I just got the brothers four inch drop coils and shocks. Put them in yesterday morning and drove on them the rest of the day. I love them, the truck rides smoother and lookes much much better. Dont be Leary.. they are just ad good as any other brand. My buddy got the CPP ones for a lot more money and we compared them and they are the exact same.

Re: Good lowered rear coils.
I used 4 inch springs from cpp and got a set of 2 inch shorter Monroes from Amazon for $18 per.

Re: Good lowered rear coils.
This is good info for me as a PO had lowered my truck by heating the coils. I know that lots of people did that before companies started producing good lowering components.

Yea, 100 bucks and you got nice, new coils. Hard to beat that, but I still see a lot of heated/cut springs out there.

Re: Good lowered rear coils.
subscribed! I want to run the 5" spring in the rear and 3" in the front with a 2" spindle. I'd also like the info on the shock size to order.

Re: Good lowered rear coils.
A smart guy on this forum who goes by shawno72 once told me that to have a lowered rear shock simply use the part number for the front. He used to work at one of those undercar mechanic shops and did some research with the numbers and that is what he found. I know the guy personally and he's not the type to fabricate b.s. just to sound smart..

Re: Good lowered rear coils.
I forgot to mention, on Brothers website it shows that the shocks are on sale for $39.. Well what they don't say is that those are only the front shocks that are on sale. I found out when I was ordering over the phone. I was a bit upset.. Anyway they are great shocks and springs if you do decide to go with them. I am very happy with mine.
