s10 retrofit

how much stuff can be retrofitted on a s10 with a 4.3? I am thinking for now i will use the 4.3, frame, and everything else I can.
What else can I use? Gas tank? brake and gas pedal? cruise control? steering column? all electrical? heating and cooling? I dont see why the possibilities arent endless. thanks

Re: s10 retrofit

I used almost everything from an S10 Blazer. Using a Blazer platform was a lot more work than using an S10, but I got it done. The only thing I did not keep was the anti-lock brake unit and the airbags. I even used all of the gauge cluster, charcoal canister, catalytic converter, and computer port so that the fuel injection would perform the same. I could pass emissions if I ever need to.
A lot of guys talk about using an S10 frame conversion, but I think that is short sighted. I can take my truck to any mechanic and I don't have to remember what the rotors were from or what hose I used .... it is ALL from the same vehicle.
