Bed repair panels
I was looking to get a few panels to repair some rust on my short bed, but all I can find for the rear lower repair panel is a longbed? Do they even make a shortbed panel for this, or do I just need to use the longbed panel and cut to fit? Example here
I'm also going to order a door shell and fender (which I have been trying to order for 2 months locally and I keep being told it's still on backorder - I cancelled it today) It looks like I can actually order the AMD (Tri-Plus) parts through Summit Racing for a cheaper price then anyone else, and since I'm only an hours drive, just pick them up. Just need to find that short bed panel somewhere. even LMC only lists the longbed

Re: Bed repair panels
The lwr rr bed panel is just the one size. If you need it for the back part beneath the tail light you are not going to like the replacement panel either. It doesn't have the body line. I don't think the other end by the wheel opening has the same detail as the factory bed panel either. It is one of the poorest replacement panels they make for the 67-72 trucks. I happen to be an AMD dealer and they have been out of doors and LH 69-72 front fenders and doors for much of the year. Depending on your circumstances you might consider selling your bedside and replacing the entire bedside with a new one. They are NICE!

Re: Bed repair panels
Thanks for that info. I guess that explains why I keep getting the runaround on the door. AMD website doesn't show them as unavailable though, other than the right side wheelopening patch panel, which I need.
My bed is actually in good shape, other than a little rust in those two areas in the passenger side. I contacted Parts Channel (local) and was told they can get the parts, but I'm not holding my breath. I might be putting this project on hold for a while

Re: Bed repair panels
I know AMD just got their front fenders in, MIne showed up yestersday. You might want to try them again as they just got a shipment of panels in.

Re: Bed repair panels
Another panel that looks to be near extinction is the right wheel opening patch panel. LMC doesn't even list the right side and AMD said they won't have any until Feb/march of next year.
Does anyone know of any other place that may have them? On a good note, my door and fender will be available in about 2 weeks (although I'm expecting another email saying they will once again be delayed)
