Re: 72 highlander seat upholstery
I purchased the fabric and vinyl from SMS Fabric and had a local upholstery shop cut, assemble and cover. About $750 all done with scrolls.

Re: 72 highlander seat upholstery
I have heard and read a lot of good things about board member "Truckseats". I think he would be a great resource. Good Luck, Bruce

Re: 72 highlander seat upholstery
SMS fabric is the only place to get the plaid and I have heard of turn around times of 12 months. Truckseats does good work and can fill you in.

3 months after my order to receive the materials with scroll. I debated the $95 for the scroll but glad I made the decision to include.

Re: 72 highlander seat upholstery
Contact Tim at Truckseats and tell him what you want to do. He will help you coordinate directly with SMS to have the plaid and parchment scrollwork sent to Tim and he will stitch it up. It costs around $6-700 total, some to Tim and some to SMS. It's the only way to get a correct highlander seat cover. Both Tim and SMS know the drill and order lead times should be much shorter. (Mine took about 8 months, but that included a mis-order fill by SMS of saddle vinyl rather than parchment) I did this a while back and it was kinda a new process at the time. SMS mentioned they'd like to produce it so it's off-the-shelf, but haven't done it yet. It's not a common seat cover, if done like the original with scrolls. I have the same thing, 611 blue. And it tuned out real nice. Sorry can't post a pic, not near my comp. but if you search for highlander stuff on here, you'll probably find it. Good luck!

Re: 72 highlander seat upholstery
The scroll work just makes the seat. Unfortunately its often hard to pickup in a picture. Here are two nice seats.
Though I had a finished seat cover picture of Jocko's seat but I can't find one. Being a one owner truck I'd be interested in any details you can provide on you Promo Package Highlander. Do you have a build sheet? Any Highlander dealer literature?

Re: 72 highlander seat upholstery
My grandma has all the paperwork that came with the truck. The factory wheel covers and all. She said she would dig it out for me. She showed me the brochure they sent with it. The title has never had a lien or a transfer on it looks just like it did in 72. I am going to give it back to my grandparents when all done

Re: 72 highlander seat upholstery
There is a Highlander thread if you want to post up the SPID (option sticker on glovebox door) and any pictures of the truck.

Re: 72 highlander seat upholstery
Jocko has been very busy as of late. So I'll post up a picture of his blue plaid interior with a Truckseats sew seat cover.
