Checking interest in a bolt in DBW Pedal bracket
*******************
UPDATE: The brackets are done and I have 10 available. Check here for the for sale thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=651123 ************************* I'm trying to gauge interest in a bolt in pedal bracket that uses the 98-06 truck/SUV DBW pedal for the 67-72 conversions. This engine/pedal combination seems to be the most commmon one used. I know guys usually try to modify their pedal or firewall, but it seems like most people just want something that will bolt in. I have a prototype built to that will allow you to do this with minimal effort and was wondering how much demand there might be for thisproduct? Here's a thread I have for another bracket that I built that will allow the Gen IV truck motor guys to swap to a 05 + Corvette DBW Pedal: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=631165 Let me know what you think. TIA.

Re: Checking interest in a bolt in DBW Pedal bracket
All - here's a couple pictures of the truck pedal and bracket mounted. I also included a picture of the 05+ Corvette pedal setup that I have in my gold 68 for the Gen IV motors. As you can see, the pedal location is very similar. Let me know what you think.

Re: Checking interest in a bolt in DBW Pedal bracket
I'd possibly be interested as well. Price, of course, will be the determining factor

Re: Checking interest in a bolt in DBW Pedal bracket
hmm, interested in price. was thinking about just cutting the bend out of the pedal and fabbing up a simple adapter plate using the factory pedal holes.

I'm not sure. Can you post a couple of pictures of your firewall? My bracket uses the three factory gas pedal holes as mounting points. It's not simple to build, but it is simple to mount .

Re: Checking interest in a bolt in DBW Pedal bracket
In post #8 is that a late model plactic truck pedal? If so how did you ge that early top part with the chrome trim to stick to the late model. Also can you get a side view from the brake pedal side just to see how far the gas pedal is from the floor. Maybe a measurement would be great also. I just want to compare to my set up thanks.

Re: Checking interest in a bolt in DBW Pedal bracket
Ok guys. I got the prototype back from the machine shop. I still need to add a couple of holes to it but this is pretty close. Here are some pictures of the bracket and how it will look mounted. I also included a couple of side shots so you can see how it is mounted in relation to the brake pedal. I should be able to sell these for around $60 shipped, if I order them in batches of 10 AND if they will fit in a USPS flat-rate box. Please give me some feedback on what you think so I can decide if I need to proceed any further.

I have to check my pedal while on home on leave next month. If it works, I am definitely in for one.

Re: Checking interest in a bolt in DBW Pedal bracket
Just to verify that this is going to work for my application.
I'm putting a 6.0l into my '67 c10. The motor and DBW truck pedal I'm using is from a 2004 2500HD.
