Fleetside Bed Dissassembly Help Needed
Hey guys, did some searching, and didn't see anything on this in the FAQ's. This is my first kick at this can, so I could use a little help.
I understand that there are 2 welds on each side of the bed that need to be cut, one is about 1" long, and I have located it and it looks easy enough to deal with, see picture. The other weld is apparently 4" long, but I don't seem to be able to find it. Could someone show me where I will find this one? Thank you in advance.

Re: Fleetside Bed Dissassembly Help Needed
mine was to the left of your broken bolt where the stake pocket pillar hits the bed sill.

Re: Fleetside Bed Dissassembly Help Needed
Okay, so I assume it will become more obvious with the bed wood out then...

Re: Fleetside Bed Dissassembly Help Needed
I think what he is saying is the weld was where the vertical bed brace that the tail gat attaches to (the piece your broken bolt is in) and the last cross sill. If I recall correctly, that's where mine was, but I did it a long time ago. I do know I could cut it with a cutoff wheel on a grinder. Just look real close, you'll see it. Also, there are some bolts way up inside that you have to look from underneath that last cross sill.
