E brake cable
I just swapped to a Camaro rear end with drum brakes in my 58 long bed, I am able to reuse the passenger side rear cable but the driver side needs to be longer because it goes in the rear side of the backing plate. What is any body using with the stock e brake set up?

Re: E brake cable
When I converted my last truck to 4X4 and raised it I needed a longer e-brake cable for one side. I had a longer one made at Inline Tube. It didn't cost much and and looked exactly like the original except the length. When I re-did the emergency brake setup on my current truck I got the cables from Control Cables. Both places were easy and friendly to work with.

Re: E brake cable
Two good suggestions. Another thing you might look into is having a local rigger for sailboats make you a new section of cable to replace the actual cable that will be the right length and work in your housing. You would have to take your cable to the with measurements but they may or may not be willing to do it. Or you might have a short section made up with the right ends on it to lengthen the cable that is too short.

Re: E brake cable
Control Cables Inc has made me three sets to my specs and they will match anything or length, very easy to work with
