Gauge / dashboard bezel : walnut
Anyone know where I could maybe get one with a walnut grain finish as opposed to that marbled wood finish. Original or replica is fine - for 75 w/ AC

Re: Gauge / dashboard bezel : walnut
Just a thought, but I've used wood-grain kitchen cabinet liner on vehicle interior trim before. They sell it by the roll pretty cheap at wally world. First try I didn't do so well on the corners but second try laid down well and looked like it could have been original.

No, it was on a 76 K5 I had over 20 yrs ago. I don't think I even have a picture of the truck.

Re: Gauge / dashboard bezel : walnut
Just a few. It'll bunch up in the corners so with a little trial and error on the trimming you'll get it to lay flat. Just leave longer overhang on the backside, it'll keep it held down once you've got it flat.

Re: Gauge / dashboard bezel : walnut
Complete SCORE. found a walnut finish A/C dahs bezel in decent condition. it will need some refinishing but is in good nick generally. it IS a little faded though - does anyone have any ideas about how to darken it slightly so it's a perfect match for the doors and dash pad??

Re: Gauge / dashboard bezel : walnut
set the dash pad and door panels out in the sun for 3-6 weeks until they match the bezel.....

Re: Gauge / dashboard bezel : walnut
I am going to use miniwax 'walnut gelstain' on the faded trim. will be interesting to see how it comes out.

Re: Gauge / dashboard bezel : walnut
Used the miniwax walnut gelstain last night and it worked a treat. obviously it's a bit battered as it's 40 years old but with some more black spraypaint on the lower part it will do just fine.
