Z Bar (Bellcrank) rebuild
I am rebuilding the z-bar on my 66 c10 with a SBC and Saginaw 4 speed. I'm not sure what is missing as far as the internals go since this stuff was put together rather shabily by the PO.
I've checked around and some kits (Camaros & Chevelles) have 3 plastic 'cups' some have two. Others have 2 felt washers, others only one. Can someone tell me the order of the parts and where to source a parts kit? The actual bar itself is in good shape but I need all the guts, clips, etc... Pics would be great! Thanks in advance.

I rebuilt mine recently. I had 3 Z bars to chose from. I tend to grab stuff like this at salvage yards. This is on a 250ci, not a V8.

IIRC, the engine side did not have a plastic cup. There was no lip inside to keep any such cup in place. The felt is merely used as a practical way to keep grease inside and dust away from the grease.

you will also need #7 which is the ball stud which threads into the side of the block. this is in place of the 6cyl brckt and ball stud which you see in lugnutz pic ron |

Classic Parts of America is also a good source. Probably the same stuff as LMC, just a personal preference to deal with CPA. Bruce

these part numbers are common in Chevrolet vehicles. you can do a search for them to see if they fit your application.

Lignutz did a nice job on that one. everytime ya see one of them layen around grab it. I still had to modify a little to get a clean shot through the headers. that little locking clip that keeps the nut from working back up out of the slot is very important
