Biggest Battery Fitment?
I need more juice. What with the higher compression and then cold weather...the group 34C I have can only do so much. I will probably be relocating the battery to the driver side front because of interference issues on the passenger side. Has anyone fit a bigger battery in the stock tray or found a bigger tray that will fit well like the stock one does up on the core support?

Re: Biggest Battery Fitment?
Consider a group 78. Not as tall, but you can get some with some serious output. Well over 1000CCA. Used in 90s Caprice/Roadmaster/etc. They can be found with dual (top/side) terminals. No problem turning over a 10.5-1 compression V8 in -40C weather.

Re: Biggest Battery Fitment?
Thank you very much. And the group 78 fits where the stock battery fits?

Re: Biggest Battery Fitment?
Should be fine, but check the dimensions online. A stock 78 is side terminal, though!

Re: Biggest Battery Fitment?
there is a lot of room to go up before you hit the hood, I had to raise mine pretty far and it still fit. they sell post kits for side terminal batteries also.
