best way to restore (paint) 65 sail panels???
im looking for some advise on how to restore the sail custom panels on a 64-66? I have them in for polishing but whats the best way to paint the black?
anyone done this before? dave

i tried the oven cleaner,then moved to scotch brite and 1500 wet sand paper,polished with mothers.then used black touch up paint (vivid black) to fill in custom lettering,was happy with results .lines could be done as well just takes alot of time and steady hand |

Dave that's a good corner shot of you truck I love that color. I did mine using the write up oem posted painting letters on a grill. Just takes time and don't try to go to fast.
