Please help. What is this part?
So had to take brake booster and master cylender off to install headers and when i did so i broke a fitting where the metal brake ling threads in well it is complety broken and cant get part out wondering if i even need this part i cant find it ANYWHERE..truck does have a fifth wheel hitch maybe was for brake lines to it??? Its the round looking thing in picturs
PLEASE ANY INPUT ASAP would be MUCH appreciated

does that truck still have the break control , under the dash , I think what you have there is a pressure control for the trailer brake unit , the older trucks had hyd. type vrs the new truck of today being all electric , this unit you adjust the end knurled nob to gain more pressure or less

My opinion.
If your not going to be hauling any loads with a trailer I would remove it and never reinstall it.

I have a question regarding the removal of this component. Wouldn't it be a good idea to do a hard braking test (in an appropriately safe place) after removing it to make sure the vehicle won't try to swap ends? I think I'd want to make sure of that any time a change was made that might affect the brake bias.
