Re: steering box swap?
I believe they are the same. You can verify by looking each up on Rock Auto web site catalog.

Re: steering box swap?
Just noticed you said 4X4 c series. Must be from a 4X4. "C" series denotes 2 wheel drive.

Re: steering box swap?
I did swap a 91 v3500 with my 84 CUCV Blazer (both 4x4) to diagnose a loose steering issue and it was the exact same.
I'm sure a few years earlier than 84 will be a metric/std p/s line thread difference. c and r - 2wd k and v - 4wd

Re: steering box swap?
thanks 48 very usefull info! i guess in the case of mis matching threads you need to swap the pipe union ends or buy some thread adaptors?
hi jet yes my mistake it was a square body 4x4 truck possibly a blazer or k series but was allready removed from the truck. but regards rock auto etc i do know that many different parts with different prices and brands will interchange as a direct fit or with a little home brewing regardless of part numbers. but matching numbers usually mean its a no brainer allthough even then parts may look totally different with the same numbers but still fit and work. |
