'57 front sheet metal

So it turns out the previous owner of my '57 truck put on a '55 or '56 front clip. when I bought it, I thought just the grille had been swapped. Turns out the only parts thst transfers over are the inner fenders. Can someone recommend someone who sells OEM quality sheet metal? I assume most of the sheet metal comes from a couple of sources. Who have people used that has quality sheet metal? I want to avoid the overseas thin cheap sheet metal. I'd hate to close the hood and end up with a crease in the hood.

Thanks, Looks like they make their own panels. I wish it was easier to navigate and had prices.

Anyone else?

Yes, I got a list of the couple around me. Living up in the mountains has some advantages, but then things like this which make it difficult. I have exchsnged a couple emails getting the closest dealers. I'd like to be able to pick things up. Usually cheaper to pay tax that delivery. They get less damage if I pick the up. Their sheet metal is made overseas to OEM specs.

Re: '57 front sheet metal

I found a yard in Anaheim, CA that has a lot full of old truck and car sheet metal. I can find their card but I don't know if I'd order sight-unseen...

Car and Truck Shop in Orange, CA sell the repop panels too, probably also Dynacorn but I'm not sure - carandtruckshop.com

a yard would be nice,
but like you said, I'd want to play touche feely with any used parts. I'd like some patina on the parts would be nice. But I don't want to it would probably put my painter over the edge.

carandtruckshop.com link just takes me to a blank page.

Re: '57 front sheet metal

My experience with Dynacorn is that most of the big stuff, regardless of who ya buy if from is drop shipped out of their warehouses in the SanFran. area of California or the Leetsdale facility in Pa.
Anything sold as oversize, We order thru one of the venders that are coming to the local shows in Carlisle Pa... Between the boy with his 67GMC, my brother doing a Nova and me doing my 52, We saved a fortune on shipping costs last Year.
