Hello from Richmond! Obligatory newbie post.

Hi all! Just wanted to post up and introduce myself. I'm not new to owning janky old vehicles, but I am new to GM products. (We won't count my dad's hand-me-down 88 Grand Am I drove for a few months.) I'm not a brand snob my any means, I can appreciate most every car aside from a Prius. I've had Fords and Mopars, and I still have a couple aircooled VWs that I've owned since I was a kid. I can dig anything on wheels as long as it's cool.

I just bought a 1985 GMC Sierra 1500 lwb 2wd, and I'm excited to get it home and start playing with it! It has a 350 sbc. Here's a couple pictures:

It actually looks a lot worse than it really is! underneath where it counts it's rust free, even shiny paint! It comes with a rust-free passenger door, and the rest of the rust is probably about 50 bucks worth of patch panels from LMC. It also runs and drives great! Perfect for me, I'd rather make something look better than do mechanical work. I'm really looking forward to getting it home so I can get started working on it. I'll warn you in advance I'll probably have lots of dumb newbie questions as I tear into this thing!
