Not to take away from your sale but, have you ever thought about "renting" these tools to other members? It seems that most people would only use something like this once and then never use them again. I'm just guessing but I bet several members would like to use them once and pay you a nominal fee for the ability to do so. Something like $20 plus all shipping charges. It would only take 6 renters to pay for them and everyone after that is pure profit for you. I belonged to a motorcycle forum that bought a few specialized tools required to maintain our bikes (all ZRX's) and in that situation it was free, we just paid to ship to the next guy, (sort of like paying it forward). In this case, I would be happy to pay you $20 for the use of the tools. (I'm doing a column right now)

That being said, I'm sure the next guy here will probably buy them from you but I just thought I would throw it out there, food for thought if you will.

I have rebuilt many tilt columns and have never used a tool that looks like either one of those tools. I'm just trying to figure out what part of the column to use them on! I'm am dazed and confused

I haven't worked on a column (yet) but do suffer from a serious case of tool lust and the price is right for those...wish I could swing it but I can't at the moment....

Just a F.Y.I. If you guys look in section number 9 of the 1972 CHEVROLET TRUCK SERVICE MANUAL page number 9-27, you'll see a listing of all the special tools required to do the service work on these tilt columns, plus other componets listed in that section. Look on pages 9-15 though 9-17 and it will show how to use these tools, plus other tools required. Hope this answers a few questions about these tools. Mike.

Increasing barrier to entry for rebuilding service competition!

Thought long and hard on those, will keep on buying complete done column units.
