Motor & headers question

I searched for bit and couldn't find anything so....
Going to swap in a 305 and th350 into my 53 with original frame and original steering column/box. I know I will need to move the column and box over with a v-8. What style headers fit? I would like to spend under $100.

Re: Motor & headers question

I don't know if you can buy any header for under $100. If it is not making a lot of horsepower you might consider traditional rams horns that center dump. Stock are 2" outlet, they repop the 2.5" Corvette ones for stock drag racing classes. Next choice would be a tubular block hugger center dump, even then you might need to massage the #7 cylinder tube. Standard tubular headers will work with the relocated box, but you still need to make sure they stay close to the block.

Re: Motor & headers question

Thanks for the info. I do have the original manifolds. I may just use them. Here's a set from speedway.
