Aw man, and I finally broke down and had my double wall painted. I wish I would have waited another month, I've been looking for a single for some time now, and your so close too! Got a hatch?

Glad to see you back, you've always got the parts that we're looking for!

remind me of the advantages of the single wall top again (other than weight)

They came out in 72 right?

The single wall top is supposedly stronger, it mounts to the bedsides better than the double wall, and they came with the courtesy lamps on the driver side inside of the top.

The doublewall tops are built with a seam down the middle, so they definately aren't as strong, they seem to "flex" down the middle. I had a doublewall top (now it is sitting behind my shop) and I bought a singlewall from a guy for 450. I really like the singlewall much better! It does bolt on better too.

I've heard that some double walls get a droop in the middle too. Mostly, they are more desireable because they are easier to bolt down.

Keep in mind, all Blazer/Jimmy's may not be set up for both types. Mine was built for a single wall, and the double wall top mounts using different holes than the single. I like the fact that the single wall mounts thru the upper side (easier access). I had to line up and drill holes for the double wall top, when I got it.

----STILL for sale, I also have another one, it is a little bit rough, and has no hatch, but I would take 100 dollars for it.

Hey kilomanjaro,
I don't know if you remamber me or not. I was the guy from Texas that meet you in OK for the single wall top. Just wanted to say thanks for the top. It is much better than the Crappy double wall I had.
