So what is everyone using for a connection for the engine temp sending unit?

Just a.electrical spade terminal

I used a female spade connector and narrowed it a bit with a pair of pliers. This worked fine for me.

Mine came with a female spade terminal. I have to change my sender and to avoid bleeding the cooling system, I fill my spill free funnel then change the sender quickly.

I got a factory correct connector that came on my new wire harness.

Be sure and clean the threads up with a wire wheel. It has to ground to the block through them for it to work. LockDoc
