Question bleeding clutch

I am near the end of my manual tranny swap and need to bleed the hydraulic clutch. What is the best way to do this? Everything is new, master, slave and hydraulic line. The pump/bleed method is not working. Any help is appreciated. I would like to get this done tomorrow. This is on my 86 K5 w/ 87 parts (should be the same).

1986 M1031 6.2 diesel, TH400/NP205 locker in the rear and a LS in the front, all stock for now.....
1986 K30, 350/400/205 dana 60 and 14 bolt. I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone.
1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed.

1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm

Been there myself. Take it out and bench bleed it. Total pain otherwise.

Agreed, MUCH faster to do out of the truck.

after going thro this myself and asking every one the had one of these trucks i got pissed. but it in to get the lines right then pull it out and bleed it. its to much of an angle to get the air out in the truck you will have to turn eveything to mive the air. also do not worrie about reseting the slave till the vary end. bleed it like its dead headed once its rick hard with zero play then reset the slave. its the only way that is 100% that i have found

how do you reset the slave? push the plunger all the way back?

best way is to take the slave loose, and slowly push it in and out. more volume in the slave. thats how we do all our cummins conversions.

sometimes to reset the slave i open the bleeder with the pushrodin the slave as i push against the bench or what ever then close it back up. other times it will push in with some force

Well, this was the easiest I have ever bled a clutch. me and my son had it done in 5 minutes, so much easier with the master and slave on the bench. Thanks.

Can anybody explain "setting the slave" again, I guess I am dense. I have already put the assembly in the truck and it will engage/disengage the clutch, but the clutch does not grab until almost all the way out. I know that is wrong. Thanks,

see how much travel you have at the fork. think its 3 inch??? or about there if a remember right. then go form there. i can relook at mine to see what it is tomorrow after work if you need. but do no they grab some low and mine is all out but the last 1 inch. not much play.

I think my throw out bearing is always touching the pressure plate.

In 1st gear, I should be able to get the truck moving with no throttle, but the blazer does not move until the clutch pedal is almost up. I will get under therear tomorrow after work and check.
