Volt meter question

Does anyone know of a replacement 12 volt voltmeter that would fit into the AD gauge cluster ? I have seen the thread on replacing one in a TF truck, is something like that workable in the '51 ?

Thanks for the quick reply and great info - found that gauge new, online for $12 and shipped free. Now to make a Voltage decal to match the AD 'Euro' style white gauges.

the trick to adapting another gauge to your dash is to use the same sweep gauge as the ammeter
the stock ammeter looks like a 70 degree sweep; you can buy 60, 70, 90, 140, 180 and others
most volt meters have studs on back like the stock ammeter
then it's a matter of making it look good

when i did my 58 amp to volt conversion i picked a 2'' 70* sweep gauge and just did it
a little adjustment here, hammer here, drill there and i glued the stock needle onto the new gauge
the tf bezel has the lettering engrave on the plastic cover so i wasn't able to change the charge/discharge label
when i installed the needle i set 12v at the center; straight up is 12v, left or right indicates the general voltage from 12v

More Good ideas, should go right along with what I will try to do. thanks for sharing.

So the voltmeter arrived today. I opened it up and removed the working parts and hogged out the holes to make the studs fit in the '51 housing. I removed the amp gauge face and matched up the mounting holes, made a few fitment adjustments and it's in and works - 12 volts dead center - thanks to 67GMCkid and Ogre for the help and ideas.
